Digital Media

 Hi Everyone!

Today I would firstly like to talk about what digital media means to me which is basically how we use technology on a day to day bases online, for example using our laptops for college and assignments as we need to have some sort of digital media knowledge to be able to do this online. Digital Literacy is becoming very important in the modern world nowadays, as technology is growing everyday. Nowadays it's not just knowing how to use technology but now you have to know how to navigate through lots of different environments online as there are appropriate skills needed to succeed in the modern world. I realised how important digital literacy is in the modern world as 90% of graduate students have some sort of ICT skills for the job market to become employable. Even though everyone can post their thoughts online and communicate, connect with people who have the same interests or share the same beliefs as them and it makes it fun and exciting, you need to be careful with what you believe online as it can look authentic but you really would need to double check if the information is real. This is why Digital Literacy has become such a big topic as not a lot of people would know from whats real and whats fake online and there isn't really any proper guidelines online on how to distinguish this. 

Secondly what I would like to talk about is practical skills. After watching the second and third video I have realised this is a major part of Digital Media as you need these skills to know how to actually manage the information online that is given to you. Even though you might have the basic knowledge of practical skills these skills change over time, meaning that everything online is constantly changing and updating which means you always have to be up to date with everything online to ensure you understand how to manage Digital Media. This is also important for future jobs as you will need to interact with your employees on a digital level and if you do not have enough practical skills for the digital environment it will add unnecessary stress for yourself. One thing that I found very interesting from the third video is when he said to get people to become more interested in learning about digital skills is to develop from their personal interests and its just something so simple as that, that can trigger someones mind into actually wanting to learn about something as plain as digital skills. 

How I thought about digital media before watching the three videos hasn't really changed at all after watching them, It only grew my mindset about it and also my knowledge for it. I hope this blog has expanded your knowledge for the importance of digital media for the modern world and also our future. Bye!

 Hi Everyone! Today I will be talking about my finished production of my project and how me and my group got on during the weeks doing this project. We have everything finished at this point. All that is left is to put everything together and make sure there are no mistakes or problems with the video. Rewrite #3

    Hi Everyone, This week we made more progress with our groups for our projects. We met with our group to discuss all the research we have done for our project during reading week. The topic of the research was how cultural remixes were taken from cultures. The topic of the research was how different cultures influences in todays films, TV shows, etc. When we met up we decided for the video that we don't want our faces included. Kris has taken responsibility of animation for our video. We also decided for the video that we will use the B-roll step. This step is basically where you get all the shots/details for the video. We are adding this to make the video interesting to watch for the viewers.  When we met up this week in our Introduction to Digital Media lab we decided to start to write our script for next week. Another Revision

  Hi Everyone! This week I had my peers give feedback on one of my blog posts, and I had to rewrite my blog post based on the feedback I got to create a better post. I found this week's blog to be quite difficult as the feedback was very positive and I honestly didn't know what to rewrite or what to do as I was happy with the post already. It took me a bit more time than I expected but I did end up rewriting it successfully and I'm even more happy with how it turned out in the end. I read an article that really helped me rewrite my blog. In the article what really helped me was when I looked at the relevance and importance of the content that was in the feedback. I realised that I needed to give more factual information and less of waffling about unnecessary information in my blogs. I also thought about the things I could have included and why I didn't include them. Where I was going with my sentences in some areas and if they were clear to the audience and not just me....
