Rewrite #3

   Hi Everyone,

This week we made more progress with our groups for our projects. We met with our group to discuss all the research we have done for our project during reading week. The topic of the research was how cultural remixes were taken from cultures. The topic of the research was how different cultures influences in todays films, TV shows, etc. When we met up we decided for the video that we don't want our faces included. Kris has taken responsibility of animation for our video. We also decided for the video that we will use the B-roll step. This step is basically where you get all the shots/details for the video. We are adding this to make the video interesting to watch for the viewers.

When we met up this week in our Introduction to Digital Media lab we decided to start to write our script for next week. Kris will be doing the introduction to the video and also the animation and the rest of us will do the rest of the script. We began compiling our research and form the plan to see what is suitable for the topic of the video. We also thought of questions the audience can ask from our script draft, so now we know what areas to improve on for next week and that we need to do a little research on those parts to strengthen the video.

When we started to write our draft for the video and make some kind of layout. We broke up our script into paragraphs that suited each topic. This was really useful for us as it gave us all a guide for where to start with our own parts of the script. We researched a lot of examples of cultural remixes that were taken out of context. An example of this would be memes and how one picture can be taken out of context completely and be turned into something else. We also looked at copyright issues in cultural remixes. Another example would be vanilla ice(under pressure). We studies different factual ideas that would be suited for the video idea and we looked at different perspectives of cultural remix.

After the lab now we know what parts each of us have for the script and we know exactly what to do for it. Our goal for the next lab is to have each of our parts of the script done. Therefore we may start to piece our work together. From the research we have tried to improve our scripts to make a more enjoyable video. When we have completed the script and pieced it together next week we will begin the production of the audio for the video. Therefore for this is all completed we can begin the animation for the video. We don't have too much experience with audio so we will need to do a bit of research before starting. To make sure the audio is crisp and clear for the audience.

That's everything for today, Bye!
